Teaching Method

Elizabeth's proven teaching method is anchored in the development of specific vocal techniques aimed at giving you the foundation you need to sing in various vocal styles—whether you are focusing on opera, classical, cross-over, baroque, musical theater, or pop.

Careful attention is given to the “building blocks” of a healthy vocal technique, including the correct use of the body for breathing, the proper approximation of the vocal cords to maximize vocal clarity and brilliance, the position of the mouth and opening of the throat to ease vocal production and the discovery and development of singing “on the breath,” moderating the amount of exhaled air or sigh in the sound to increase the vocal range and create vocal freedom.
